Lack of Recycling Facilities in Pakistan
In Pakistan, due to lack of waste management infrastructure and recycle facilities, a large percentage of recyclable materials (79% in Lahore) is dumped into landfill sites (which are often in the city) or burned which also becomes a source of air pollution. And the remaining percentage is also mostly covered by garbage pickers which are often children. Thus also raising concerns of child labor.
